Alumni Association
As a courtesy to all of the University’s retired personnel, Alumni Accents, a publication of the Alumni Association, will be mailed to you. Alumni Accents is published twice annually and covers news and information about the University and its alumni. Please consider sharing milestones in your life and personal experiences. Update your information at www.louisianaalumni.org or, mail your news items to the Communications and Marketing Department at P.O. Box 41009; Lafayette, LA 70504.
Athletics
Retired faculty and staff are able to purchase up to two non-priority season tickets at half price for any UL sporting event.
Bourgeois Hall Recreation Center
Retirees with a valid retiree Cajun Card may access Bourgeois Hall recreational facilities, which include: an 8-lane, 25 yard lap pool, leisure pool, large spa, newly constructed fitness center, and a variety of sport courts (tennis, racquetball, & basketball). Access restrictions apply, based on academic calendar, class schedules, etc. Please inquire about retiree access.
Credit Union
UL Lafayette retirees may join or continue their Credit Union membership to access a variety of services and to receive competitive rates on all financial services, including banking, checking, online bill pay, ATM/debit cards, travelers cheques, money orders and certificates of deposit. Convenient drive-through and a 24/7 voice response system are also available.
Email Accounts
Retired faculty and staff will retain their computer login and password for email access. These accounts are provided for professional, educational, or personal development activities which do not conflict with any applicable policy and which do not consume computing resources required to fulfill the primary mission of the University.
Edith Garland Dupre Library
Retired University faculty and staff are extended library privileges, including material check-out and inter-library loans.
Cajun Card Services
Your pass to the Ragin Cajun life is your Cajun Card. University retirees can receive a retiree Cajun Card which allows them active employee privileges, including Red Dot discounts.
Parking and Transit
The University Parking and Transit Department currently extends to all retired personnel a free 12 month parking sticker in an administrative approved zone.
Performing Arts
Retired Faculty and Staff can receive, upon written request, complementary tickets to Burke Theatre Performing Arts Department events. The Department of Performing Arts presents a season of fully-produced works annually. It serves as an important part of students' training where they are given the opportunity to take what they have learned in the classroom and studios and present to a community audience.
Tuition Exemption
Retired faculty and staff who have served not less than 25 years in the UL System may register for up to 6 credit hours per semester at reduced tuition. Spouses and dependents of qualifying retired faculty and staff can attend a UL System university at reduced tuition.
University Bookstore
The University Bookstore extends a discount to all University retirees. Each retired University employee can receive a 20% discount on merchandise purchases.
Wellness Wednesday
UL retirees can participate in this program sponsored by the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions to receive various health analyses and screenings at no cost. Please call 482-6683 for more information.
