Employees will return to the workplace in phases. The staggered return will be based on maintaining proper social distancing, the availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and cleaning and disinfecting supplies.
Faculty and staff returns are outlined as follows:
- The first employees to return will be those faculty and staff members who are involved with critical infrastructure, health care, and research support.
- Gradually over the summer, employees involved in critical administration and business operations and support services and operations that must be performed on campus will be phased in.
- Beginning fall semester, faculty and necessary staff members whose duties require them to work on campus will phase back into the workplace.
University operations that can continue to effectively work remotely, will do so until the easing of social distancing restrictions.
Employees who are unavailable to return to work when requested must follow the current leave guidelines.
To ensure the safety of our students, faculty, and staff, the University will continue to use a risk-based assessment to determine the expansion of staffing. Departments may not increase staffing levels beyond approved levels without approval from the Ragin Cajun Resiliency Plan (RCRP) Executive Committee.
